 Jessica Jones season 2 has been highly anticipated since its announcement in January 2016. She was last seen in Marvel/Netflix's Defenders (Review HERE) August last year but now it's her time to shine as she takes the lead again.

 Mother!, a captivating psychological drama from Darren Aronofsky (Black Swan) is a film that has a meaning behind it's tale.
 The Ghoul is not a horror as the title exists but a fantastic example of British Independent Cinema. It's dark and superbly acted.
 A Cure For Wellness is an intricately written mystery blending genres so well it will keep you second guessing constantly as to where this story is going.
 Although a spin-off from the X-Men movies, Legion appears to be more of a stand-alone story at this stage as all the characters are new and no references to the films as of yet (that I noticed).
 M. Night Shyamalan's latest film is a psychological horror thriller and playing to his strong suit, it gets unusual.
Starting with a very normal yet cliché scene to an abduction movie which introduces us to the captives in the briefest of detail. Then an unusual turn for a modern movie, opening credits with an immersive score, letting our ears absorb what is to be the tone of this tale. It's a slow moving piece of music with a monstrous feel hidden within it, building a sense of fear of what is to come. |
